Posing For Pictures in Jackson

You can't spend the weekend in Jackson and NOT get some of these touristy posed pictures. Enjoy!

Jackson Wyoming Basketball Tournament

The next morning the tournament went a little better and little worse. We won our first two games and then lost the third game...bad. It was a fun experience and Carter got to play a lot of basketball.

Caleb found a foosball table and played a lot of foosball.

And made a random friend.

Psychadelic Basketball, Jackson Wyoming Tournament

Not sure how these pictures turned out so crazy, but they're all that I have from the first night of the Jackson, Wyoming basketball tournament. It was a crazy night. We got out of Rock Springs a little late and made it to Jackson in record time, thank you Christian. They lost their game that night, so we were a little disappointed but we had some fun with Carl and Vicki who met us in Jackson for dinner and the tournament.

I guess this picture is a little better...

Pilot Butte Ice Skating Social

Cali spent a fun night ice skating with her school friends. I was the weirdo mom that just kind of hung around and took random pictures. There wasn't a great turnout, the kids that were there had a lot of fun.

I have to post this picture to remind me of when she was little girl who was growing tall. I'm sure I'll forget this sight if I don't document it.

Cali palled around with her friend Breanan all night.

Matching pig noses!

Meditation on Top of White Mountain

It was a long hike, much longer than the day Jesika and Jenna ran up and down in about an hour. I don't know what I was expecting. Cali had to attend an Activity Day day camp, we invited Dorothy and Kyle and went on (what we thought was) a fun hike.

Caleb liked picking up rocks and insisted that he haul a muffler half way to the top.

After a lot of drink breaks, and Kyle carrying Caleb up some pretty steep terrain, we finally made it to the top.

Caleb and Carter took some time to mediate at the top.

The way down was quite the adventure. The clouds rolled in and we ended up running through the snow for about a mile at the end. Thankfully Kyle had a hunting pack complete with handwarmers. My kids raided his stash and then Caleb demanded Kyle carry him the rest of the way.

Dorothy and Kyle are our very favorite and we were so happy to have such a fun adventure with them.

Pizza Cookie at the Blue and Gold Banquet

Oh yeah! I created this masterpiece for the Blue and Gold Banquet auction. It was a delicious sugar cookie, red frosting, coconut, sprinkled cake, and fruit roll ups. I was super proud of this creation, and Carter loved it.

Carter got some merit badges or belt loops or whatever they give your kids for kind of doing their book. I'm the worst scout mom...

We scored a pizza box to add to the pizza-ness and the auctioneer ran up the price for a worthy cause!

Carter thought the auctioneer was as funny as he did.

A Road Trip Around the County

On a chilly February morning we took a little drive around the county. We went through Farson and through the Seekeedee Wildlife Refuge and then past Christian's office building at OCI. It was a fun afternoon and we pretty much ate our weight in Farson ice cream

My Favorite Valentine

Hike and Run White Mountain

Me, Jesika, and pregnant Jenna took an early morning Valentine's Day hike up White Mountain. After living here for six years, I've never hiked to the top. We walked fast snapped some dorky pictures at the top and ran down.

From the top of the mountain Rock Springs almost looks pretty!

Carter's Class Valentine's Day Party

Stopping by the elementary to deliver some Valentine's Day treats to Carter's class is always fun. Caleb joined in on the fun and got his treat on with his brother. I love these two wild boys!

Night Shooting

I usually drag Carter along to Cali's piano lessons. While she's doing her lesson, he shoots hoops at a nearby park. Even in the dark.

The Puppy Whisperer

Our church time changed from 9am to 1pm this year, which gives up plenty of time on Sunday morning to shove stuffed puppies down our pants and shirts.

Pillow Project

I made these pillows with the extra fabric from the backdrop used at Bethany and Dorothy's wedding reception. I dyed it with some fabric dye from the craft store and I think they turned out pretty cute. I also bought a bunch of other fabric, but have since changed my mind on my previous pillow ideas. I'm not sure if I'll ever get this whole living room/decorating thing to come together.

Sure Shot Contest

Carter got a great score at the City Sure Shot contest. The goal was to shoot and make a shot from every spot on the floor and then, time permitting, make as many lay-ups as possible. I used to do this contest when I was in Junior Jazz. A catchy tune plays as you scamper around the floor trying to make shots. The song is different now, but it was fun to watch. I wished there was an over 30 division so I could join in the fun!
