The Tiger Tribe Shoot Out in the Springs

The final tournament of the Travelling Tiger Tribe Season ended in a second place finish at the Shoot Out in the Springs.

Carter had a great season playing with this great bunch of boys and dedicated coaches.

He was a little disappointed by the 2nd place finish, but soon realized that baseball starts next week.

He's a good athlete and fun to watch play!

Kick His Ass, C. Bass

Caleb took Second Place in his wrestling tournament, and got to hang out with some fun wrestling friends in between matches. He only lost by points, and was never pinned. Our friend Larry Evans helped coach him along through his matches and she showed a lot of improvement throughout the day.

The whole point thing still alludes me, but I think I'm getting better. I still don't fit in with the wrestling parents at all, but I did try to use a Dumb and Dumber line and yelled, "kick his ass, C. Bass." I'm not sure it was the most appropriate, but that's all I had.

Shaking hands at the beginning of the match.

Caleb pinning his opponent and looking up to Larry for guidance.

Winner!

Pinewood Derby

Christian and Carter worked hard on their Pinewood Derby car this year. When they had the mechanics and the weights just right, Carter added his personal flair by painting it all by himself.

He won several of his heats and had a great time eating treats with friends and cheering for all the cars in his troop. He was a great sport and realized that winning isn't everything, sometimes it's just getting to do something fun with friends that counts....sometimes.

I Cannot Get Enough of His, "I'm Bored" Face

Only a wrestling parent meeting (when you're a non-wrestler), could provoke this much boredom. I wish I could say he was a good sport to tag a long, but as you can see, he was not.

Brace Face Day

We knew it would happen eventually! Those beautiful choppers needed to be tamed.

Happy Birthday, Brock. We Love Your Cutie Face

Sometime in February Bethany and Brock moved back to Rock Springs, this was the highlight of our entire life. My kids were so happy that Brock was back. They missed him so much when he and Bethany were living their fancy city life in Salt Lake.

Shortly after their return, it was Brock's 3rd birthday. He is such a little cutie, but sometimes we can't tell if he likes us too much. His facial expressions are our favorite, and he's been know to say, "Cammie, I never loved you".

Tournament

Our second place finish!

Second Place

My friend Jesika and I coached Cali's city league basketball team this year. We were the Mavericks and we had a pretty killer team. All of the girls were nice and kind to one another, which you always hope for when you get a bunch of girls together. I didn't get many pictures throughout the season because I was always busy coaching.

We were pretty much undefeated the entire season and entered the final tournament as a 1 seed. We lost our first game and had to battle through the double elimination to reach the championship game, which we did. However, we lost the championship and ended up with a solid second place.

I don't know if I'll coach Cali again, she seemed to respond much better to other coaches than to me, I guess that is to be expected some times. She also confessed to me that she's not passionate about basketball, which I have come to grips with.

All in all it was a great experience for all of us and fun to get to know the girls.

A couple sweeties gave us some flowers for being such great coaches, and we were. Jesika and I nearly died one day at practice when we said, "we've got two lames (referring to Cali and Kenady limping around on hurt feet)" and then in unison, "and two awesomes (referring to ourselves, of course)".
