The person Caleb was cheering for on a cooking competition show did not win the final challenge. He was very disappointed, but not too disappointed to finish helping me prepare dinner.

Bethany and Steve's Sealing
Bethany and Steve were sealed in the Ogden Temple on Jan 23. It was a really fun and special day. They gave a beautiful tribute to each other and thanks to their family members.
We left our kids with Carl and Vicki so we could enjoy the temple and dinner.
Jayna and Mike flew in from California for the occasion and we got to see Layna for only the second time ever.
We took quite few family pictures to commemorate the occasion.
Some great sister pictures.
Christian and I had a great time.
I created these decorations for her centerpieces. They didn't allow any fire, so they were intended to look a lot better, but it all worked out.

One Girl, Two Looks
Oh, this girl. She really is the best. She has had a very busy year trying out all the different activities that interest her. On this day she just finished playing in a basketball game, and then we had to rush to dance to pick up her competition costume. It's hard to believe that this is the same girl from the same day. In some ways it's pretty horrifying. She and I were both less than pleased with the costume choice her studio picked this year. As a new dance mom I found out that even if you don't like the costume, your child still has to wear it. Lesson learned.

Starting the New Year
A basketball tournament is always a good way to ring in the New Year! Carter played in the high school lower gym on New Year's Day in a small tournament. His Tiger team did really well, and it was fun to watch this little band of brothers come together. They've really improved throughout the years, and will have the chance to play together for many years to come.
Caleb started the new year with a really loose and wiggly tooth. It hung by a thread for days and days, and just looked ridiculous. He loved sticking his tongue behind it and push it forward. It was so gross, but pretty funny too.
We also started the new year with some super frigid temps. The negative 15 is a little more than we can take. It's really the worst.
I love that I captured these pictures of Carter. He was wide open, and had a good chance to go baseline, but for some reason, no one could see him. He jumped up and down looking for a pass.
A new year means new light bulbs too. Good thing Christian is tall and we have some tall bar stools too.
Hurray, the dangling tooth finally fell out. Happy New Year!
