This is Carter's first football season, and it starts right on the heels of baseball allstars. First off, football is hard. Carter is super nervous and really really tired. The first few practices he didn't want me to leave him there. There are so many new things to learn, like how to buckle a helmet and how to run in football pads. It's all a little much at times and we've had a few near breakdowns.
Luckily we have some very caring coaches who are willing to help him learn and to see his potential. He is working on becoming a quarterback and learning the ins and outs of football plays. We are looking forward to a great season and learning a lot about what this football business is all about, both of us.
