Winter in Rock Springs is not for the faint of heart. Temperatures regularly dip below zero, and snow almost instantly turns into frozen chunks of ice. Cali, seeing that she needed function and fashion, borrowed Bethany's snow boots for her first trudge in the frozen snow. To our surprise, they fit like a glove. So much so, that Vicki picked up a pair for Cali too so she didn't wear Bethany's clear out.
Around this same winter storm time, I misplaced Carter's snow boots. After a few days of melting, we found them on the deck, frozen solid and filled with snow. It took a few days before he could actually wear them.
Negative 13 degrees F was actually a pretty mild morning on my way to the gym.
Carter even kept his snow hat on while escorting Angela Oreo away from the syrup.
